Report: 2013 District Health Barometer

Health Systems Trust’s latest District Health Barometer, which provides district-level statistics on indicators such as maternal mortality, childhood immunisations and cervical cancer screening.

DHB 2013 coverEach year, the Health Systems Trust publishes a District Health Barometer. This latest report shows a national decrease in maternal deaths. While the report shows that childhood immunisation rates remain constant at about 94 percent, this indicator – like most in the 420-page book – show wide variations between provinces. The report also shows that despite policies to expand access to cervical cancer screening, rates remain low.
